The perfect vacation..

I'm back, y'all.
Barely, though. A return sleeper class journey FROM HELL. But more on that later.
Hyderabad was a sooooper break, ma. Zipped in and out of the city but not without watching Munich and The Devil Wears Prada (something I believe everyone with a female boss should watch). I strongly recommend popping over to Roswitha's blog and catching her take on our experience.

Hyderabad is like, cool. Well, atleast the Mocha there pretends to be. And to a large extend, it does succeed. A generous splash of purple, gold and green blended with 'hap' music. And the crowd. I felt truly ancient.

Then there was the beer incident. One of my girlfriends was suffering severe alcohol withdrawal symptoms, and just wanted to buy a bottle of beer to make the unhappiness go away. Just before TDWP, we popped in at a wine shop on the most cosmopolitan street in hyderabad, and she asked for a bottle of beer. The owner actually hooted. Ros and I couldn't believe it. Who does these things, dammit? Hooting? Why sell it to women at all if it's so morally offensive? Understandably, the girl was severely embarassed. The dude didn't stop there..he asked if she wanted it opened. The poor thing just thrust a 50 rupee note into his hand, grabbed the packet without checking its contents and we jumped into the nearest available rickshaw.
Idiots!

Neways, we managed to convince her that some narrow minded fool's opinion was hardly a good enough reason to refrain from buying alcohol in the future.. :)

We gossiped about crazy women we used to know at Xaviers, the non-existant social lives we led, watched trashy television, gorged on Ramen, and guzzled beer.

Thanks, Ros, for the perfect break! :)

Freedom!

The GRE is finally done with, and I'm off to greener pastures! ..well, not exactly. I'm off to Hyderabad to meet Roswitha.
Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

And yeah, the GRE is by far the most high tension exam I've ever given. Maybe that's casue I haven't given the AGRE yet. But it's hard to imagine it could get worse than this.
As sar was saying, univs should admit anyone who survives this rubbish.
Neways, I got 760 in quant and 660 in verbal. 1420.
Quant was damn hard. Very stressed for time. Million arithmatic questions. Every bloody question had the word integer in it!!
I thought I'd get 520, or something in that range, so it was quite a relief to see my score start with a seven. In Verbal I managed to bomb the Reading comprehensions. Apparently I can't comprehend what I read..:)
The antonyms and analogies were decent.
And thankfully, the final essay (Issue) was much better than any of my (four) practise essays. Argument was Bleh. We'll have to wait and watch how that turns out.

AND YAY!I'm freeeeeeee.
AGRE in two months. Haven't registered yet. Don't know if I should.
